Pop Off news: Pub Crawl and Writing Prompt

Hi, Pop Off Readers,

On March 19, 3–6 pm Central, Pop Off will be participating in Medium’s Pub Crawl. What is a Pub Crawl?

Medium Pub Crawl is where publishers, writers and editors can chit-chat in a virtual, speed networking format, and also meet up in the Expo Hall to discuss submission guidelines and editorial needs.

Pop Off has been around for a few years, and I hope this event will attract more talented writers and increase our readership.

You will have the opportunity to meet me “face to face.” I would love to talk about the future of Pop Off, answer questions, and make connections.

Writing Prompt

Here is a writing prompt to help you get the creative juices flowing:

What is a memory you have related to pop culture? Connect that memory to something in your life currently. How has it influenced your way of thinking or world-view? Why does it still resonate with you? After brainstorming, write a 1000 word personal essay.
