Rebekah Snyder — “America”

Rebekah Snyder Releases “America” — Remembering 9/11

Alt-country/Americana singer-songwriter Rebekah Snyder releases her single/music video, “America,” a stripped-down, intimate homage to the fortitude and bravery of Americans.

Snyder wrote the song on the day after the attacks on the US, expressing the raw emotions she felt in the immediate aftermath.

Talking about the song, Snyder says, “I wrote ‘America’ as a way to process what I was feeling the morning after 9/11. It’s about honoring the people who serve, the families who sacrifice, and the strength we find in each other when everything feels uncertain.”

As a mother, domestic violence survivor, and granddaughter of a WWII veteran, Snyder channeled an ocean of emotions into the song, infusing it with profound authenticity — the kind of realism that touches hearts.

Hailing from rural Pennsylvania, outside of music, Snyder is a certified flight instructor and a single mother of three children. Her minimalist sound mirrors her Appalachian roots and the strong traditions of her family, including numerous resilient women.
