The POPCHAIN Foundation held the first online meeting with you on our official Telegram channel last Friday, July 13th, at 9 pm, in the form of an hour-long, live Q&A. The moderator was Director Hansin Kim from the POPCHAIN Foundation. As you know, a live Q&A can be full of unexpected elements, so we were under some pressure.

But we wanted to show you our confidence in the POPCHAIN Project and subdue the market’s apprehension towards it, which is why we took that risk and chose to do a live Q&A. Of course, we do not expect that we answered every question you had in this single Q&A, which is why we will keep hosting more. This week, David Lee, Head of Business, will be present to answer your questions at the same time as last week. We hope to see you there!

We think nothing accords better with the spirit of blockchain than transparently sharing information. Here is a summary of the conversation for those of you who could not be present for the Q&A.

Q: How is the negotiation to be listed on Bithumb going?

A: First, being listed on Bithumb is not out of the question. As you know, it’s a sensitive issue for both parties after we received a lot of negative media attention when we initially attempted to list on Bithumb. We are carefully renegotiating the listing, but it is difficult to say when exactly it will happen. The POPCHAIN Foundation is making a lot of effort to calm the suspicion of the market, such as demonstrating our technology at meetups abroad. Being listed on Bithumb is a matter that we are also treating with the utmost importance. We will try to deliver good news soon. We would appreciate your understanding of the fact that it is not easy for us to reveal the specifics of our current negotiation process on Telegram. As soon as we know when POPCHAIN will be listed, we will announce it here (on Telegram).

Q: What efforts are you making to improve POPCHAIN’s negative reputation?

A: We sincerely apologize for the various controversies that we have recently been a part of. We will improve the parts that we were lacking in at the time and the foundation is doing our best to improve our reputation. We recently made profiles on Twitter and Medium to diversify our channels of communication, and we plan to renovate our website in July. To speed up this process, we hired new community managers. We are hustling hard to turn our negative reputation around as we participate actively in domestic and international blockchain events. We also plan to host a large-scale meetup abroad either later this month or early next month. As you might be able to predict from our recent activities, we will also host a meetup in Korea soon. Please be patient with us as we work to deliver good news in the near future.

Q: Do you have plans to list on more exchanges?

A: We agree that listing on more exchanges could be good for the price of PCH. However, our stance is that there are many other complicated external factors that affect the price of PCH. Thus, we judged that it is unsafe to increase the number of listings without careful preparation. We are confident based on the technical skills of PCH that we could list on many mid-sized exchanges around the world even now. Nevertheless, we would rather list on large exchanges after solidifying our fundamentals. The POPCHAIN Foundation believes that this is the way to steadily and stably increase the price of PCH.

Q: Why are withdrawals blocked from Bit-Z wallets?

A: Bit-Z has a policy of blocking withdrawals for three weeks after listing. Our foundation is negotiating with them to unblock withdrawals.

Q: When will you launch the mainnet?

A: We plan on opening the mainnet within this year. We are diligently developing according to the roadmap. Our progress is being updated in real time on POPCHAIN’s Github; please go check it out!

Q: There are rumors that the developers’ supply of PCH was released unbeknownst to POPCHAIN; how much was released and why?

A: This is an unsubstantiated, false rumor. The developers’ supply is set as 10% in the white paper, and you can confirm this on Etherscan.

Q: What is the supply on Bilaxy?

A: In principle, exchanges should negotiate with us before listing. However, we learned from our legal counsel that if the exchange owns the coins, we technically can’t forbid them from listing.

Q: Is it true that Yang Shenghui, the CEO of LongTu Game, is actually in charge of POPCHAIN?

A: No, this is untrue.

Q: What was the exact price and amount of the private sale?

A: We cannot reveal the price of the private sale because of NDAs with certain institutions. Please refer to the white paper for the sale amount.

Q: You showcased the POPBOX at a previous meetup. What is the development progress, when will it be released, and how much will it be sold for?

A: The POPBOX appliance will be released after the mainnet opens. We are currently running synchronization tests between them. We haven’t decided on a price yet. It will be sold through a reseller, so we will reveal after discussing with them.

Q: Will you continue having Q&As?

A: Yes, we will continue to communicate with you. Next week, at the same time, David Lee, the Head of Business, will host the Q&A. We hope to see you there.
