The POPCHAIN Foundation held our third AMA on August 3rd at 7 pm immediately after completing our schedule at the Huobi Carnival. It was also a chance for us to report our achievements from the six major blockchain and content conferences that we attended in the last two weeks. For example, the POPCHAIN Foundation participated in the Hybrid Summit 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand, held on July 29th, as a speaker.

The POPCHAIN Foundation is hosting the third AMA session in the official Telegram channel on August 3rd at 7 pm.

It seems that this led to more attention and questions during the AMA than ever before. Here is a summary of the session for those of you who were not able to participate in the live Q&A, which was held in our official Telegram channel. David Lee, our Head of Business, hosted the AMA, which went on for approximately 40 minutes.

Lee started by briefly announcing news about POPCHAIN from the last two weeks.

A. POPCHAIN participated simultaneously in the Blockchain Partnership Summit, held on July 21st-22nd at the Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul, and the Character Licensing Fair, held on July 21st at Coex in Seoul. Both events were crucial for us to attend, as we are trying to build a content-based platform. We carried out business negotiations as we took into account both industries’ problems and suggestions. On July 26th, we attended the Seoul Illustration Fair, where we were able to learn what animation producers and content creators need. Like this, we carried out primary negotiations that will later allow us to obtain quality content within the POPCHAIN ecosystem.

Hybrid Summit 2018 & Huobi Carnival

Afterwards, we were invited to the Hybrid Summit 2018, held on July 28th-29th in Bangkok, Thailand, and presented ourselves on an international blockchain stage for the first time by participating as an official sponsor and speaker. It was a major event with over 2000 people in attendance. In addition, we attended the Huobi Carnival, hosted by the major cryptocurrency exchange, Huobi, yesterday (August 2nd) and today (August 3rd). It was an opportunity for us to discuss POPCHAIN with the Huobi’s management and business team.

Q. Why does it matter to keep participating in external events?

A. At blockchain conferences and VIP networking events, there are not only important industry figures but also other interested stakeholders such as investors, exchanges, advisors, incubators, and other project teams. That’s why it’s important to make POPCHAIN well known at these events. The more often we meet with people, the more trustworthy POPCHAIN becomes and the easier it is to form business partnerships.

The POPCHAIN Foundation is hosting the third AMA session in the official Telegram channel on August 3rd at 7 pm.

Q. What’s going on with CoinMarketCap and the website update?

A. As we promised, the circulating supply of POPCHAIN was updated on CoinMarketCap on July 24th, where POPCHAIN was ranked in the top 500. Based on this statistic, ZDnet, a tech publication, included POPCHAIN in the top 6 market caps in Korea. We will do our best to ensure that our ranking improves in the future. In addition, our website update, which was initially planned for late July, was postponed to next week. We are doing final tests to make sure that our website is perfect. We appreciate your understanding.

Q. Is the meetup in Vietnam confirmed?

A. It is finalized to be held on August 18th. We will establish POPCHAIN as the top content blockchain in Vietnam, where the blockchain market is rapidly expanding. In addition, we are happy to announce that the POPCHAIN development team and the POPCHAIN business team in China will hold a meetup in Changsha, China. We will keep you updated in real time on Twitter and Medium.

Q. If you are a Korean coin, why do you focus so much on overseas meetups?

A. POPCHAIN is a global project based on Hallyu contents. We aimed for the global market beyond Korea when we launched in the first place. That is why we are hosting meetups in Japan, China, and Vietnam based on Hallyu.

Q. What is the source of the 6.7 million PCH that left the marketing wallet recently?

A. The 6.7 million PCH from the marketing wallet will be used to build up the community in China, which we are working on with the Chinese POPCHAIN Team. In addition, we want to clarify that despite recent misunderstandings, we did not use any of the marketing supply for the various meetups and conferences that we attended recently.

Q. The June lock-up supply, 300 million PCH out of the 600 million PCH from the private ICO supply, is not visible on the EtherScan wallet right now. How is that being stored?

A. The locked up 300 million PCH, which is half of the private ICO, is stored in the wallet per the original contract. The foundation is checking up on it regularly.

Q. Which exchanges are you in touch with? Can you provide a listing deadline?

A. Listings are, of course, an important factor in the coin’s price, but it’s not the only factor. Other causes, including the project’s vision, business plan, and coin utility, all work simultaneously. Moreover, we cannot tell you about ongoing negotiations with exchanges before a listing is confirmed. The investment simulator on Coin Marble that you told us about is not something that was discussed beforehand with the POPCHAIN Foundation at all.

Q. Which companies are you negotiating partnerships with, and when will you announce them?

A. We are currently discussing with animation producers, MCNs, and content producers in Korea, China, and Japan. As you know, NDAs apply to negotiations between companies, so we cannot tell you which companies we are talking to or the contents of the contracts. We will announce any partnerships to the POPCHAIN community once they are officially confirmed.

Q. You said you have a mainnet, so why aren’t you announcing plans regarding DAPPs?

A. We explained our plans for DAPPs in detail on our Medium. We have also announced that CeluvTV and Red&Yella will be POPCHAIN’s DAPPs during a previous AMA session.

The POPCHAIN Foundation is hosting the third AMA session in the official Telegram channel on August 3rd at 7 pm.

Q. What is Red&Yella?

A. Red&Yella is Korea’s only hip hop MCN, and a platform that produces concerts and social content. It successfully hosted THE SYNERGY concert last June.

We have been having biweekly AMA sessions. As such, our next one would be on third week of August, but we will hold our fourth AMA on the fourth week of August after our meetup in Vietnam on August 18th. Thank you!
