Woodrow Wilson’s Century of Grief

Today, April 6, 2017, marks the 100th anniversary of the day the United States entered World War I. The outcome of that war propelled the United States to true Super Power status and irrevocably stamped the 20th Century as the “American Century.”

But Woodrow Wilson, just into his second term as president when Congress declared war, has had a pretty bad century. Yes, he’s been dead for most of it. But the event that did so much to help the United States did little to help the president’s legacy.
