IOST x PopulStay Workshop
Last Friday, on November 9, 2018, the CEO of PopulStay participated in a 3-hour event at Campus Plaza, Kyoto
Every month in Kyoto, Japan, you can participate in a study meeting for everyone interested in blockchain — Blockchain Kyoto. It gives an opportunity to study and discuss the phenomenon of “blockchain” and how it is changing our society.
On November 9, two speakers attended this workshop: the CTO of IOST, Terrence Wang, and the CEO of PopulStay, Walter Wang. After delivering their presentations, the two speakers held a discussion.

Terrence Wang and Walter Wang met with the local blockchain enthusiasts. Twelve engineers, who joined the event, discussed this innovative technology and how the world is shifting towards decentralization!
What is IOST?
IOST is a project, which is building an ultra-high TPS blockchain infrastructure to meet the security and scalability needs of a decentralized economy.
With IOST, developers will have an opportunity of interacting and using JavaScript which the most popular programing language in the world.
Besides, In October IOST officially launched the second release of its testnet to the public, built upon its first release, which achieved one of the highest transaction per second speeds in the blockchain industry.

At Blockchain Kyoto, the CTO of IOST spoke about the difference between Ethereum, EOS and IOST, and the peculiarities of IOST.
Walter Wang introduced Populstay to the audience and delivered a speech on the topic “Why prop-management would require Blockchain”.
Discussions between the attendees of the event and the speakers continued after the event in an informal setting.
