SHE DESIGNED A LIFE SHE LOVED
Norzin chooses to look at the world with her colourful perspective and she has this imaginative, youthful, fresh take at illustrating what she sees everyday. A future dentist in the making, she surely knows how to make everything beautiful, and not just dirty, uneven teeth!

Who is Norzin?

I think it’s hard to summarise myself in a few words but I’ll try! I’m a small town girl from Darjeeling. I’ve been brought up in a convent school all my life. In school I had to take fine arts and that sparked something in me. I’ve never felt so at ease doing something. I’m currently in my internship in dentistry which I enjoy but art is my passion.

“Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.”

I want to convey to the world especially to the younger generation that your passion is as important to develop as your academic career. I don’t want to grow old and regret not giving the creative side of me a chance. It’s hard to strike a balance but it definitely isn’t impossible.

To to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.

My inspiration varies. If I’m drawing detailed artwork its usually inspired by Mother Nature.

However for my Instagram illustrations I’m usually looking at an interesting profile, bloggers breaking the mould or just random food posts because let’s face it, food is life :)

“The question is not, “Can they reason?” nor, “Can they talk?” but “Can they suffer?”

Animal cruelty is something that is really close to my heart. Specifically, I’m a huge dog lover so to see animals get abused really gets to me. I want to deal with the situation of the countless stray dogs on the street everyday. I would love to work with an NGO, create awareness and come to a definite solution that improves the situation in our country.

My message to every girl who wants to become an artist/illustrator.

That possibilities are endless and your time is limited. Follow your heart, practice hard and do what feels right. Do not be pressured by your parents or your peers to become what they want you to become. You should create your own identity, for yourself and your artwork!

Do what you love ❤
