What to expect in the coming year.
Happy new year to our community! I am Phyrex, the founder of Portal Network, and I am here today to share the upcoming features and news of Portal Network in 2019. Together with my two other founders, Chris Shen and Vincent Tu.
2018 has been an exciting year with ups and downs. Disregarding the bearish market in crypto space now, we have been continuously working on our products to make blockchain easy and accessible for anyone. In 2019, we will be putting constant effort in building what we have been working on and deliver it to our community.
What’s coming up
In 2018, Portal Network has built a marketplace for decentralized domain that supports Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, and Wanchain. In 2019 Q1, this will be one of our main focus. There will be a significant update from the previous one, including huge changes on the UI/UX, features that will make the platform more interactive and fun for users. The second focus is something that everyone has been waiting for — the PRT token. We will be finalizing the token features and start writing the smart contract for it. The token will be available with the release of our new Marketplace Alpha for people to purchase and use within the platform. On the marketing side, we will start our Youtube channel that will be focusing on various perspectives including blockchain, new technology, and gaming. We will also be introducing the new features of our marketplace, so don’t forget to subscribe for the latest news.
In 2019 Q2, we will release our Marketplace Beta, which will be available for public to use and test it out. We will announce the specific features available later on, but the basic idea is to let people to have access to various domain-related content and have fun for buying and selling their decentralized domain name. At this phase, people will be able to purchase PRT token and utilize it on our marketplace platform. We will complete the BNS smart contracts, including the universal registry, registrar, resolver; and will implement these into the platform to ensure PRT’s usage. Another exciting tool that we will be releasing is the Search platform (pre-Alpha). This tool categorize decentralized contents and make available for anyone to search for it.
Moreover, we will start announcing the PRT game platform. It will includ various game and the main purpose of this is to increase the usecase of PRT token holders. We believe by making the platform more engaging, it will effectively influence the PRT token in a positive way.
In 2019 Q3, we will release
- Marketplace official testing
- Search platform beta
Two other new updates will be the KAIZEN pre-Alpha and our Nifty game v2 release.
By 2019 Q4, the marketplace will be officially released. Every features should work flawlessly by this time and the public would be able to trade their decentralized domain names freely. Our Search platform will be launched for users to gather decentralized contents across protocols such as IPFS, Sia, and Storj; and KAIZEN platform will go into the Alpha phase for public testing.
Last but not least, one of the major changes in the marketing side is that we will start our Youtube as our main channel for interacting and communicating to our community. The reason behind this is that as more products and features our team is building and delivering, we thought it would be best to visualize these efforts into videos for anyone to see. It will be mainly focusing on blockchain, technology, and gaming.
