It’s the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Y’know, the night where the moon is brightest.

I know what you’re thinking. You think this is going to be a list where we peddle you overpriced mooncakes. Don’t worry, they’ll be on sale at half price tomorrow. We’re here to talk about what the full moon reminds us of — an egg. More specifically, how the humble egg plays a part in many local favourites.

Sometimes, eggs don’t always take centre stage. Sometimes, they serve to help soak up flavours and better delivery them into our gaping maws.
