Spread the Joy: Portkey Enables Sending Crypto Gifts to Everyone
Claim crypto gifts even if you don’t have a Portkey wallet yet
Believing that sharing is an effective way to spread the impact of the Web3 space and expedite the mass adoption of crypto assets, Portkey has consecutively launched several interactive features that facilitate the flow of cryptocurrencies, such as “crypto box” and “direct token transfers within chats”. Now, Portkey is thrilled to further optimise user experience in sharing and receiving with the introduction of “crypto gift”, which can be shared with users outside of Portkey. This new feature makes it effortless to spread joy and surprise, expanding the Web3 community to the general public, even those with no prior experience with crypto.
Furthermore, the cross-chain transfer speed between the MainChain and SideChain has been significantly enhanced. Cross-chain transfer of up to 5,000 USDT or 5,000 ELF now completes in just around 30 seconds, greatly reducing waiting times for recipients. Additionally, the referral feature has been optimised with the addition of a leaderboard, allowing users to monitor records and track top referrers.
Sending Crypto Gifts
The entrance to crypto gift is conveniently located on the home screen as a red gift icon. Click on it to access the crypto gift page and tap “Send Crypto Gift” to create your own gifts. You can customise settings including the total quantity, type of asset, and asset amount.
Each gift can contain either a “Random” or “Fixed” amount of assets, based on your preference. Choosing a fixed amount ensures the gifts are evenly distributed, giving everyone an identical share. Opting for a random amount turns it into a game of luck; for example, a gift containing 100 ELF for two claimers might result in one receiving 99 and the other 1. You can also set specific limits for claimers, such as restricting claims to newly registered Portkey users only.
After the crypto gift is created, a link will be generated for you to share. Anyone opening the link who meets the criteria you set can claim it before it is fully claimed or expires. As the gift sender, you can easily track the status of your gift on the crypto gift page.
Claiming Crypto Gifts
Upon opening a crypto gift link, quickly click the “Claim Crypto Gift” button to check its claiming status. As long as it is not fully claimed and has not expired, you will be allocated a share based on the gift settings. There will be a “Sign up to Receive” button — click it to sign up or log in and receive crypto assets in your Portkey wallet. Since each gift is valid for 20 minutes upon opening, you need to act quickly to receive it before it expires!
However, if you see an interface suggesting “Unclaimed gifts may be up for grabs! Try to claim once the countdown ends”, it means there is currently no gift available. But don’t worry, you still have a chance to claim the gift if others fail to “Sign up to Receive” before the gift expires. Just wait until the countdown reaches zero and try your luck again!
