Pachesham Equestrian Centre has been a livery and competition centre for over 30 years now with outstanding results and praise. However, in the last decade it has become very well known for their persistence and desire to rescue abandoned ponies who have been treated poorly and malnourished. These horses are then get the best medical and rehabilitation treatment and are then trained for to be used competitively along with the volunteering programmes the centre offers. On Sundays, a group of volunteers dedicate their free time to an afternoon of teaching young children how to ride, free of charge. This has been a huge success, and they have been admired for “giving back to their community,” making others’ lives more enjoyable. It not only helps and improves our community but it is also giving these horses a better life at the same time which is even more impressive.
