Mum of two and hairdresser, Anne Kinlough bravely shaved her head last month to raise money for The Rowans Hospice.

The Rowans is based in South East Hampshire and offers free care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Anne, who lives in Southsea, made the decision to shave her head after receiving help and support from The Rowans when she lost a friend.

She set up a GoFundMe page online and joked on there that she had “never been much of a runner” so shaving her head seemed like the better option. Being a hairdresser, she believed people would be shocked that she was willing to lose the one thing she was passionate about and may be more inclined to donate.

She started the journey with a goal of £950, but has now well over doubled this figure! Her total currently stands at £2160.
