Stephen Dobson is a University of Portsmouth Student in his second year and will be running the Portsmouth coastal half marathon in February in order to raise money, and awareness for mental health charity CALM.

Stephen has chosen the mental charity CALM because it plays a personal part in his life, growing up with male friends who have experienced mental issues and he feels by choosing this charity, he can make a difference in this rising campaign to speak out against mental abuse.

CALM is a mental health charity focused centrally around male mental health and has received much public support in recent times, launching a campaign in combination with FA cup football, starting fixtures a minute late to encourage people to speak up about their mental health issues as male suicide rates have increased dramatically over the last decade.
