Student Harrison Myring’s quest to end homelessness in Portsmouth

Portsmouth student Harrison Myring Hopes to aid the fight against homelessness with a brutally cold nighttime sponsored run on the streets of Portsmouth.

After witnessing the many homeless lay on the streets in the city on nights out, Harrison became inspired to run in aid of the homeless charity ‘Crisis’.

He informed me that “Portsmouth has one of the biggest amount of homeless people outside of London” and this inspired him to do the sponsored run.

The aim of running and practising at night is to recreate the horrors faced by homeless people on a daily basis; recreating the conditions of a homeless person, Harrison hopes, will encourage people to donate more money because of the perilous conditions.
