UVG is a music charity based at Portsmouth Guildhall. Their focus since 2008, has been helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to engage in music, develop songwriting skills, perform in public, learn instruments and release songs.

Charlie Fletcher and Amba Tremain, both enthusiastic about how music participation positively impacts lives, established the group.

Anyone under 18 can join for free and members have built friendships for life at UVG.

Created in 2014, AUVG is an adult group, which uses profits from the membership fees to fund the youth group.

Both groups have been enabled to perform at high-end venues including Victorious Festival, The Wedgewood Rooms and even The House of Commons.

Since the charity’s formation, 800 young people have attended and 150 adults.

Music including covers and original songs can be found on Youtube, Spotify and the UVG website.
