In the area of Portsmouth, the crisis of homelessness has worsened and according to ‘The News 2016’, “in Portsmouth, the number of people sleeping rough has trebled”.

One organisation based on Albert Road, Southsea is working hard to: guide, help and build a community for the homeless in Portsmouth. The LifeHouse provides weekly hot meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner for the members, as well as, live music nights, donated clothing, toiletries and other necessities that we often take for granted.

The organisation is a hearty home to a community of volunteers, members and manager Mike Morell, who speaks proudly of the development of the organisation and how far The LifeHouse has come as a family.

The LifeHouse exceeds being just a food and clothes bank for the homeless, it is a safe, friendly environment that welcomes all with open arms and hearts.

Visit http://www.lifehouse.org.uk/ website for more information on how you can help the homeless in the Portsmouth community.
