This successful Christian charity is devoted to making a positive, global impact. They run various programs including ‘Refugee resettlement,’ and ‘Supporting Emergency Services’, events and fundraisers that make a massive difference for people at risk.

The team at Catherine Booth House rehabilitates homeless individuals and works especially with families struggling to sustain safe housing in Portsmouth. CBH provides secure, temporary housing for up to 21 families, in addition to this the Salvation team provide further assistance to alleviate the pressure of rehabilitation and re-homing. This includes support in areas such as life skills, mental health, relieving debt issues, setting up further education, and mentoring to help with re-building confidence.

The CBH Mission statement: “As an expression of Christian compassion, Catherine Booth house with Portsmouth homeless families services provide accommodation and services for vulnerable people that want to address their support needs in a supportive environment where physically, psychologically, socially and spiritually individuals will be empowered and encouraged to meet thier full potential and become independent.”
