There has been a decrease in charitable donations in recent years. While the sad truth is that many charities have no option but to close their doors, organisations like Yorkshire Cat Rescue highlight that there are still caring initiatives out there.

In 2019, they rehomed over 88% of the cats that came into their centre, finding the remaining cats foster homes or giving them valuable end of life care.

With vet bills of approximately £10,000 per month, looking after the cats that come to them is not an easy task. Particularly in the scenarios of cats requiring urgent treatment that other rescue centres wouldn’t even consider providing, help from the public is crucial.

I visited Yorkshire Cat Rescue’s centre in Keighley to find out about the amazing work they do and how you can help.
