Monthly Recap Apr. 2021
Poseidon has officially ended our phase 2 QLauncher v2.0 testnest in April following along with phase 3 at the end of April. Our main purpose is to verify that Qlauncher can be successfully installed and recorded in the database in most cases.
Users who participated in this phase only need to submit their SN after the successfully installed the Qlauncher. The device SN and information will be updated on the Public Checklist simultaneously. Those eligible for rewards will receive QQQ after phase3 ends.
Our QAS profit sharing system is still up-and-running for this month. Users who have deposited QAS in the QQQ APP before April 30 will be eligible for profit sharing program.
We have continued to complete service integration with institutions to verify the system’s feasibility and scale it in the past few months in terms of business. The cumulative amount of stored files has exceeded 5 million, and the used resources have reached 150 TB+. And the volume is steadily increasing.
Release new introduction video. Explaining the advantages of decentralized storage and currently applicable scenarios.

01. Technology Development
QLacunher v2.0 Testnet Phase3 is LIVE
We have launched testnet phase3 on April 27 and it will run 2 weeks until May 11. Reward would be distributed after phase3 ended. The installation guide and testing process had been updated on Testnet Phase3 website. The adjustment of install command were also updated on Github.
At our phase 3, we hope more users can participate in the installation process of QLauncher themselves and join our testnet for more efficient cooperation.
We are planning a longer-term program to create more incentives, developing a point distribution scheme that could reflect the actual contribution to reward miners who are willing to continue participating.
QLauncher v2.0 testnet phase2 ended
In this test-net, the team had completed the following tasks :
- Verify the stability of node operation and services maintenance
- Fix the issues caused by K3S and unknown error that appears during the automatic deployment of the service
- Select few devices from the testnet as nodes to store files, try to deploy IPFS, ETH 2.0
- According to the data we collected in the previous testnet, start developing node explorer (Resource Explorers).

QAS Profit sharing continuing
2021.04.01 Continue to trial the QAS profit sharing mechanism, with a total amount of 300,000 QQQ; all those who have been transferred from QAS to the official QQQ APP before 03.31 23:29, and have not been transferred midway on April 30, 2021, are eligible to participate in the current month’s profit sharing. In 2021.05.01, the profit sharing reward will be issued.
03. Business Development
In Business side, Poseidon Network have cooperated with several institutions to verify the system and scale it. It aims to provide lower cost storage solutions, accumulated over 5,000,000 files, 150 TB+ used and those numbers steady growth.
We estimate the amount of files will increase over 100,000,000 and total used storage of 5PB.
The current focus is on adjusting structure and software testing, as well as looking for commercial application cooperation. The following are the tasks to be completed in 2021.

All uploading videos will be sliced, encrypted. Then stored on to multiple Poseidon nodes with decentralized storage.
All your data is stored on multiple computers (nodes) on our decentralized network without any central authority control. It means your data will be split, encrypted and distributed to different nodes.
The solution comes with advantages, such as much lower cost, higher security (As the data is encrypted), immutable data (in a decentralized system, even if one of the nodes goes down, it will remain operational)
Create Discord server for miner-support
Poseidon Network has created a discord server for miner support. They can report issues and discuss how to optimize the whole process. If you have any proposal or feedback, welcome to discuss :)
The above is the team’s public software update and a compilation of event information in April 2021. Thanks to the community that is willing to accompany for a long time, it’s the first month in second quarter.
The team will continue to focus on research and development, update software, and explore new business cooperation and applications.
