The Interview
Top 3 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): 3: Good Health / Well Being, 8 Decent Work / Economic Growth, 9: Industry / Innovation / Infrastructure
Impact verticals your venture focuses on: Digital-Health, Future-of-Work, Health-and-Wellness
Please share what you’re building, your professional background, and what inspired this venture.
I hold a BFA, MEd and MFT. I spent 14 years in entertainment and brand development, between NYC, Chicago and LA.
As a storyteller turned vessel of stories, I returned to the village and realized a significant amount of our ailments are born of attempting to heal alone. This led me to sow The Better Spot, a culturally humble, cost-conscious wellcare hub, prioritizing the practitioner so they can prioritize their clients.
What’s the impact focus of your venture? And how do you plan to measure impact?
Our impact focus is on collective holistic wellcare, starting with serving the forgotten 50%; the practitioners and clinicians that provide society with care. We measure our impact through accountability, qualitative data, and extensive marketplace response metrics.
What’s driving your impact focus?
What’s currently driving our focus is the rising suicide statistics among the practitioners of the healing community. However, our overall driver is the apparent need for support (i.e., capital, infrastructural, communal) for wellcare professionals.
What are some obstacles standing in the way of the impact you have planned?
Capital is the primary obstacle due to the need for a physical space and technology development.
How do you stay motivated?
My caseload. As a practicing Psychotherapist the thought of being able to 100X my individual impact on the daily, is endless fuel.
Tell us about your market, customers, and team.

Compass Realty), Elaine Vorberg (Partner and Corporate Attorney), and Paul Burke (Real Estate Tech Founder).
How do you keep yourself healthy — e.g., mentally, physically, emotionally?
Daily prayer, meditation, laughter and weekly therapy keep me on from falling off the rails.
What are you currently educating yourself on?
I’m currently eyeball deep in green operations for the opening of my inaugural HQ.
What books, podcasts, or newsletters should our community read — to better understand your area of impact?
Radical Empathy (Podcast), Man+Machine: Eps6 (Podcast), The Healing Organization (Book)
What do you do outside of work, that you like to brag about?
I’m a badass cook, and could become a professional singer without question.
