POSTIVE POLITICAL PROGRESS
Tired of Dems constantly ignoring what their party ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHES so restarting this series.

Since Dems seem to love nothing more than to bash their own party and memory hole actual accomplishments…let’s start the conversation again.
“Over $695 billion in funding and over 74,000 projects announced thanks to President Biden’s Investing in America agenda
For far too long, this country’s infrastructure was under resourced and neglected, leading to crumbling roads and bridges, aging water systems, an unreliable electric grid, and inadequate high-speed internet access. Three years ago today, President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law — a once-in-a-generation investment in America’s infrastructure to reverse this trend, strengthen communities, and transform the U.S. economy. Since then, the Biden-Harris Administration has been breaking ground and cutting ribbons on projects in every state to rebuild roads and bridges, strengthening our supply chains, ensuring safe routes to schools, providing clean drinking water for communities, expanding high-speed internet access for all, and much more.
To date, the Administration has announced over $568 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding, including over 66,000 projects and awards in all 50 states, D.C., the territories, and Tribal Nations. That’s part of the 74,000 total clean energy and infrastructure projects funded so far under the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda, which also includes historic investments in clean air water, climate action, and semiconductor manufacturing.”
This means projects like THIS:
Started improvements on over 196,000 miles of roads and launched over 11,400 bridge repair projects, increasing safety and reconnecting communities across the country;
Replaced 367,000 lead pipes, benefitting nearly 1 million people, with funding continuing to be deployed for more replacements;
Provided funding to deploy over 4,600 American-made transit buses, more than doubling their number on America’s roadways, and funded approximately over 8,900 clean school buses;
and….you know..THIS
Financed over 2,400 drinking water and wastewater projects across the country, including projects through the Indian Health Service that will deliver clean water to 100,000 Tribal households;
Launched over 6,000 projects to help communities build resilience to threats such as the impacts of climate change and cyber-attacks;
And also..THIS:
Plugged over 9,600 orphaned oil and gas wells to address legacy pollution;
Awarded funding to 95 previously unfunded Superfund projects, clearing a longstanding backlog of projects to clean up contaminated sites and advance environmental justice;
Created 940,000 construction jobs and construction employment is at a record high — higher than the previous peak before the Great Recession.
Biden admin also working on creating classroom to career pathways for jobs that do not require degrees…aka helping the middle class. You know, that thing that progressives say Dems never do. Yeah..about that…
At the Summit, President Biden will announce that more than $80 billion from his American Rescue Plan has now been committed to strengthening and expanding the American workforce, helping to meet the promise of these historic investments — from supporting high-quality free community college programs in high-demand fields, to expanding Registered Apprenticeships, to attracting and retaining a skilled, diverse workforce in critical industries. These efforts are helping students and workers — including those without four-year degrees — access good-paying opportunities spurred by the Investing in America agenda.
Which is going to support…FREE COMMUNITY COLLEGE classes and job training….along with
proactively allocated more than $300 million in Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) funding towards workforce development initiatives. These states are building the skilled construction workforce needed to connect every American to reliable and affordable high-speed Internet by investing in community college job training programs, Registered Apprenticeships, and sectoral partnership training models.
Along with doing things to help single mothers attend college…
emergency aid program to assist students, including students who are single mothers, in 2025. Nearly 10 percent of undergraduates — 1.7 million students — are single mothers, and while single moms earn higher GPAs than their non-parenting peers, they experience greater rates of financial distress. Research shows emergency grants are effective at keeping financially distressed students on track to complete their degrees.
And a massive amount of other projects doing everything from building up funds for railway jobs to helping get funding for cybersecurity projects.
aka…ADDRESSING ACTUAL PROBLEMS IN WAYS THAT WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS WORKERS TO GET BETTER JOBS…almost like…what for it… a PROGRESSIVE ECONOMIC APPROACH WOULD.
Moving on.
Now Senator Schiff has been a leader in dealing with Tribal issues…like this one..
Today, Representatives Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Jared Huffman (D-Calif.) introduced the Tribal Community Protection Act, legislation to address the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) on tribal lands by encouraging record sharing between tribal and state/local law enforcement.
The Tribal Community Protection Act would create a funding incentive through Byrne Justice Assistance Grants to states and localities that both:
Submit written notification to tribes about restraining orders (ROs) and temporary restraining orders (TROs) so that they can be enforced by tribal law enforcement on tribal land, and
Accept and enforce tribal ROs and TROs, in turn.
The Tribal Community Protection Act is supported by the National Congress of American Indians, National Council of Urban Indian Health, National Indian Health Board, National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, and the Strong Hearted Native Women’s Coalition.
He also helped get $50 million for tribes in California to fight climate pollution. https://schiff.house.gov/news/press-releases/schiff-epa-announce-over-50-million-for-california-tribes-to-address-climate-pollution
Then there’s was his bill to get free PO boxes for homeless people…https://schiff.house.gov/news/press-releases/schiff-colleagues-introduce-bill-to-provide-free-po-boxes-for-those-experiencing-homelessness which could help them find jobs, housing, healthcare food assistance etc.
Once again..helping the most vulnerable communities improve their lives.
Almost sounds…progressive.
Of course…you never see any of this talked about on social media, or the news or anywhere else. Everyone is too damn busy attacking the Dems, focusing on Trump and doing nothing to showcase the good the Dems do.
Stay tuned for more. This will be an ongoing series hightlighting Dems all around the country.
