The WeCompany, better know as WeWork, is one of the most valuable start-ups in the world and, according to US media reports, was valued at 47 billion USD in its most recent financing round in January. The business model is to make long-term leased real estate available to other companies. WeWork was founded in 2010 and, after Lyft, Pinterest and Zoom, would be another highly traded stock exchange newcomer this year.

While some consider the $40 billion company to be simply overvalued and highly susceptible to a downturn in the real estate market, others see the business model as forward-looking in the face of skyrocketing office space prices and growing demand for flexible rental options.
