The rise and rise of co-optation as a service (CAAS)

5 min readJun 4, 2025

Bjørkskov’s “branded activism” No Objectives does not respect objection to its overt plagiarism and co-optation. It will continue to “turn minority insights into majority actions” whether they like it or not.

After Kasper Benjamin Reimer Bjørkskov stole her content and passed it off as his own, as he had done to many, many other non-white folk in the Global South and the Global North, Anita Naidu wrote this post.

Anita Naidu’s 3rd June 2025 LinkedIn post

Naidu was referring to the content that was stolen by Bjørkskov (an architect in Danish “innovation” literally trained and salaried to steal content, ideas and designs), within her 18th May 2025 CounterPunch article How Elites Rebrand Power As Virtue.

Despite repeated pushback and calling out, Bjørkskov remains unapologetic, continuing to demean, mistreat and talk down to Global South folk while continuing to plagiarise them for clout. He does so because he continues to be supported and encouraged to behave in disrespectful and harmful ways — by cultures and institutions he is surrounded by.

Just as The Breg is a construct of powerful intergenerational forces of contemporary coloniality, so is Bjørkskov, and many, many other white men and women who have turned co-optation into a brand.

This is just incredibly unhealthy on so many levels.
