It was a problem that plagued humankind since the cave — how to get a good night’s sleep, especially with all the noise and dangers lurking outside.

An inventive caveman came up with the very first solution — station a guard outside the cave to warn the sleeper if any danger showed up.

That worked fine until the guard got eaten by a saber-tooth tiger.

Eons and centuries later, companies were formed with sophisticated strategies and gizmos to warn the cozy, sleeping inhabitants of any approaching danger.

Another century later, in the year 3052, a time machine was invented.

Dangers could then be taken care of long before they became dangers.

It revolutionized life… and a good night’s sleep.

In fact, it’s how the inventive caveman was discovered...

A brave time-traveler went back in time to those prehistoric days of yore.

He and the caveman met and hit it off nicely.

They became fast friends.

He taught the caveman mathematics and physics.

That’s how civilization as we know it developed.

The next time you need a good night’s sleep, thank the time traveler and the caveman for figuring out what to do.

Sweet dreams.
