Hello friends!

My writing for Postcards from 2035 stalled a little in November and December. That’s not because of a loss of momentum. Rather, it’s because Jonathan Kolber — the author of A Celebration Society — and I are trying to formalise how we move our writing from theory into practice. We’re trying to answer the question:

What can we do in the next 90 days that will move the planet closer to our vision of transcendent societies?

In an attempt to answer that provocative question, you might find the following two recently published articles of interest.

  1. What is a Smart Society? attempts to define what the difference is between a smart city and a smart society.

2. We’re launching an initiative to create what we’re tentatively calling The Foundation for Systemic Reconstitution. That’s a mouthful, so any suggestions for a better name are most welcome!

I’ll be taking a few days off to rest, recover, restore and reconstitute.

However you choose to celebrate this time of year, may it be a spiritually restorative time for you. Don’t panic. Just watch and listen as the beauty (and ugliness) of this transition unfolds before us.

What an exciting time to be alive!

Blessings,
Michael
