It’s a beautiful irony that the movement for a future that’s better, not bigger, is… growing!

So many people are committing their efforts to creating a truly equitable, sustainable future for all.

This #GivingTuesday, in the spirit of collaboration and co-creation that drives us here at the Post Growth Institute, we’re encouraging you to explore and support the work of our partners and other groups we admire. We find their ideas and projects so informative and inspiring, and perhaps you will too!

Supporting these groups can occur in many forms — from reading about their work or following them on social media, to making a donation or volunteering your time (for more ideas, see our list of 50+ ways to help).

We’ve grouped organizations using the six layers model that Post Growth Fellow, Jennifer Hinton, and I designed in 2016 (this model analyzes social change across the following six layers: behaviors, feelings, conditions, systems, values, and constructs).

So here they are!

Groups working to engender cultures of greater reciprocity and care, often at the community level:

Groups working to better understand and enact feelings of greater safety and security, for all:

Groups working to promote purpose-led institutions:

Groups working to strengthen systems that circulate money, power and resources:

Groups working on anti-oppression campaigns and projects to create a future that is truly just:

Groups working to reconnect our societies to the stories, symbols and mythologies that nurture our better nature:

We’re so grateful to be part of such an amazing ecosystem. Here’s to the purpose-driven future we’re co-creating!
