Ask any local where to get the best burger delivery in San Francisco, and you’ll hear a lot of similar answers; there are a few places across the city that rise to the top of everyone’s list (and you don’t have to cross the Golden Gate Bridge to get them). But if you’re looking for something specific — like a delivery service that lets you build your own burger, that’s when Postmates can step in and help you out with some answers.

Not only do we deliver hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, build-your-own burgers, and fries from all of San Francisco’s best burger places, we’ve also got the hookup on where you can order each. Take a look:

Roam Artisan Burgers

When you’re on the hunt for a more exotic burger (bison or wild boar, anyone?), you order from Roam. We see a lot of Postmates orders for “The Classic” (it comes with butter lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and house sauce), but we recommend pulling the trigger on the “French and Fries” (they put their truffle Parmesan fries on your burger with Gruyere, avocado, caramelized onions, watercress, piquant sauce, and whole grain mustard). If that still doesn’t sound good to you, this should do the trick: Roam is one of the rockstar spots that offers build-your-own-burger delivery. You build it, Postmates will deliver it — plain and simple.

Super Duper Burgers

SF locals are obsessed with Super Duper Burgers — some would even dare to throw it into the race between In-N-Out Burger and Shake Shack, because it’s that cult-worthy. So let’s start by diving into the burgers: Mini Burger versus Super Burger — the difference is one patty versus two. Both come with super sauce, and you get to load them up with toppings as obvious as lettuce and tomato, and as intriguing as jalapeños and cambozola blue cheese. And yes, just like with In-N-Out and Shake Shack, you can round out your meal with ice cream treats (cones or shakes) made with Straus Family Creamery organic soft serve. We’re already full just thinking about this.

Umami Burger

For burgers with a twist, take a look at Umami Burger’s selection. With its Asian-infused menu featuring options like the vegetarian-friendly Falafel Burger, or the mouthwatering Manly Burger (house beer-cheddar cheese, bacon lardons, smoked-salt onion strings, Umami ketchup, and mustard spread), this burger place prides itself on packing an explosion of flavor in every bite. They nail it.

Gott’s Roadside

The word “burger” may seem like a turnoff to vegetarians, vegans, or those following a strict gluten-free diet, so if that rings true, Gott’s has got you. Not only do they let you swap their egg bun for a gluten-free bun, you could even spring for a lettuce-wrapped burger instead. Plus, they have veggie burger patties, vegan burger patties, and, of course, Niman Ranch beef patties, to suit any need and any taste. Once you’ve got that squared away, just pick your style (their Blue Cheese Burger and their Western Bacon Blue Ring Burger are served with Point Reyes crumbled blue cheese), place your order, and we’ll bring it straight to you.

4505 Burgers and BBQ

Obviously the BBQ at 4505 is bomb, but…we’ll curate a different list for that — right now we only have eyes for their burgers. And the game-changing ingredient found in 4505’s melt-in-your-mouth cheeseburger is probably not what you’d expect: butter. Yep. They lather their sesame and scallion bun with butter and secret sauce, and stick a quarter-pound grass-fed beef patty with lettuce, onion, gruyere in between. If that sounds like heaven, then it sounds about right.
