Starting now, people in Long Beach, San Diego, and Temecula can enjoy a pint of freshly poured draft beers that are homegrown in Southern California and not available in any store. But that’s not all. Fans in Chicago can also postmate food from the recently opened Ballast Point Kitchen and Taproom, serving local eats and beer.

To celebrate, Postmates users will be among the first to enjoy Ballast Point’s latest special release beer: the Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Piper Down. Delivered exclusively on Postmates from October 29 to November 5, the new beer will only be available at Ballast Point stores and on Postmates before rolling out nationally. The Rye Whiskey Barrel Piper Down ages the brewery’s award-winning Scottish Ale in charred American oak High West rye barrels, resulting in a classic Scottish Ale with complex barrel characteristics.
