Almost everyone on the planet has heard of Facebook or is using it, so it seems unlikely that one day it could vanish. But recent scandals and data breaches have weakened it. The question is, how much? What’s the future of Facebook? Can any other app replace it? Let’s find out!

Of course, it’s much too early to talk about the doom of Facebook when you take into account its large, loyal user base and Zuckerberg’s recent moves to attempt to appease the platform’s disappointed users. It’s also hard to imagine that the platform that has been living to collect and sell data will suddenly change and start prioritizing its users’ privacy.

Recent numbers show that more and more young people are deleting their Facebook accounts. According to the Pew Research Center study, only 51 percent of teenagers in the U.S. use Facebook. The platform has lost 20 percent of its teenage users in three years, which proves that its attempts to appeal to a younger audience are not working.

After Facebook announced it “accidentally” mishandled millions of passwords for years and after being caught selling user data, Facebook fans felt not angry but disappointed. Even though Facebook has been the most popular online community and a money-making behemoth for years, the company is slowly losing its power. The scandals keep coming, and regulators are calling for breaking up Facebook’s “dataopoly.”

Facebook is far from being dead, but many predict it’s going to happen in upcoming years — not so much because current users will leave the platform; but mainly because of the unwillingness of younger generations to sign up in the first place. The slow death of the platform will allow new, innovative companies to grow and offer users better options.

Right now, there’s not really a place for users to go to enjoy the social experiences that have become so important to them. The great news is, we don’t have to wait long for a better platform: POP is coming soon!

POP — Not a Facebook alternative but a totally new approach

What makes POP the best option after you leave Facebook, Instagram or Twitter is that it’s built with users’ in mind. It’s the first truly secure and user-centric social network that is created to change the way social media works.

POP is for influencers, advertisers, followers, fans, creators and everyone else who wants a private setting to communicate, create and earn on their content and activity.

Why POP will replace Facebook

  1. You own your personal data

The biggest problem with Facebook and pretty much all social media platforms is that your personal data is not private and can be sold to third-party companies. POP solved this problem by making its users the owners of their data. After you sign up, you start accumulating your data, and you can delete it anytime you want.

2. Your content is yours and can’t be hijacked

It’s easy to steal content from Facebook and use it as yours. Influencers and creators put money, time and effort into creating original content, but after an hour someone downloads and reuploads their photos and videos, gaining millions of views.

POP protects your content! First of all, no one can download or even take a screenshot of your post unless you give them permission. Second, even if people reshare your post several times, you get the views! POP always protects the owner of the original post.

This is also important for your privacy. No one will be able to steal your identity and use your photos on other platforms. It must be nerve-wracking to see someone using your photo on a dating app.

3. You get rewarded for your activity and content

We spend hours on Facebook scrolling through our friends’ and sponsored posts, creating and sharing content constantly, having to watch ads while enjoying a good video. But what do we get in return while Facebook is earning billions on ads that run on our content?!

Once again, POP has come up with a revolutionary way to reward its users. As an influencer, you will be paid to host ads and actively use your following to earn on the platform. At the same time, your followers will also profit by viewing, sharing and clicking on your posts. You will be paid for each ad you see, for your content and active time on POP.

This is a win, win, win situation for advertisers, users and influencers. You spend the same amount of time that you would spend on Facebook, yet you earn for being with us.

The time has come for something new! And while Facebook is trying to stay on the surface after all the scandals and data breaches, we have created something much better for you to enjoy!

Join the first user-centric network, and invite your friends and followers! Let’s show Facebook how social media should work!
