“Rise Up”/”Reaper’s Burden”

Liliana Castro- “For my project, I wanted my project to show why protests for equal rights for minorities are justified. To do this, I utilized different struggles and misrepresentations these minority groups have gone through throughout history. I also wanted to prompt the viewer to think “what am I doing to aid the fight for equality?”

Moriah Kawas- “For my project, I wanted to do something based around pro-life. I have a lot of symbolism in my painting, like the reaper symbolizing abortion or the dark colors and clouds symbolizing how wrongful it is to kill babies. I took a very grim approach in order to emphasize how horrible I feel about the topic, and I hope my painting is able to inform some people of how evil abortion really is.”
