In my previous 3 articles, we went over three different dashboards to get to know if our business is growing by comparing our Revenue vs the history vs the Targets and vs our competitors. In this article, we are going to put together all the aforementioned comparisons and we are going to use Power BI for that.

Audience: this Dashboard is going to be used by business users that do not want to see details (minutiae). They just want to see high-level numbers (i.e. C-Level executives, General Manager) and get actionable insights to ask the righ questions to ensure the company/region/business unit is going in the right direction.

Relevant KPIs:

  • GSV: Gross Sales Value (a.k.a. revenue). This can be measured in Value and Quantity
  • NSV: Net Sales Value. This can be measured in Value and Quantity
  • CoGS: Cost of Goods Sold. This can be measured in Value and Quantity
  • GPV: Gross Profit Value. This can be measured in Value and Quantity.
  • Market Share: portion of the market that our company controls.

Other acronyms/terminology used in this article:

  • YoY: comparison between YTD values vs the same period last year
  • PY: Prior Year
