How many pages does your PBIX file have? How many different dashboards do you have per department?

Sometimes is a good idea to streamline the navigation if multiple reports are in the same PBIX File, within the same workspace or in multiple workspaces. Depending on the number of digital assets, your organization might feel overwhelmed because they don't have control over the dashboards that are under development or in Production.

One concept that I like to use to enhance the navigation is “Landing Page”. Some people might call it different (i.e., Navigation Page).

In order to keep things simple, I use Power BI, but you can use any other tool or programming language.

Say, you have 4 pages in the same PBIX file? what if you provide some context to the users, a brief description and links to the pages. This will give the users an app-like experience:

On the other hand, what if you want to streamline the navigation across multiple workspaces? you can create a one stop-shop to navigate across all your departments, have a quick overview when you hover over the tiles and set the hyperlinks to take the users to the corresponding dashboard:

At the end of the day, you will end up with a hierarchy to manage your data ecosystem, a full inventory of all your digital assets and a better control of the live dashboards. Below is an example of the design how to organize your assets using Figma:

Once the upper management approves the user experience you can develop the landing page in Power BI.
