Power Ledger Named Winner In Sir Richard Branson’s Extreme Tech Challenge On Necker Island

Power Ledger is thrilled to announce that we’ve been named winners in the 2018 Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC)!
We’d like to thank the judges for sharing our vision in reimagining our energy future as well as our dedicated community, whose unwavering support has helped us stay focused on the important work in front of us.
The mission of XTC is to empower entrepreneurs with visibility, resources and a rolodex that when combined, bring their companies more visibility, the ability to scale at low cost, and to surround their team with mentors that help extend our product success to business success.
To say we are thrilled to be crowned winners of #XTC2018 is an understatement. Winning this competition provides us with unprecedented access to key investors, high profile serial entrepreneurs, and innovators and mentors who can help us scale — including Sir Richard Branson himself!
Sir Richard Branson is quoted on the XTC website as saying “We are hunting for people and ideas that can literally change the world!”
And we believe all of the finalists have ideas that can, and will, change the world in their respective fields.
It’s been an honour to hear more about the other two finalists while spending time with them on Necker Island. Revl, a smart action camera company that uses AI powered editing software, and Owlet, an infant health platform that empowers parents to care for their children, are both innovating in their space and we’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate them on their achievements. We know irrespective of the result, they will each go on to have bright and successful futures.
This experience has already been one that money can’t buy, and team Power Ledger is ready to take this important milestone, pair it with hard work and dedication, and deliver on our goal of democratizing power.
