One Small Step for Power Studios
One Giant Leap for a Better Identity
2016 has just arrived in Power Studios. Many refinements occurred in 2015; and now a genuine product has been carefully carved into what it is today. And to wrap it all up, we’re giving the physical identity of Power Studios its next evolution.
Simplicity is the norm these days. Minimalist designs are key to help remind a vision of a company for people to identify with ease — to show with ease. We can see this everywhere.

So far into Power Studios story, there has been two iterations/evolutions of its logo. The former was recruited and served as a temporary logo while the latter was developed as the definition of Power Studios.

Both these logos share the quality of having a protrusion from the centre expanding out. What is protruding, is the pillars of Power Studios; the core that runs it. Like an anatomy of Power Studios itself.
Fun Fact: The latter logo, the definitive logo, represents “POWER”. Each letter can be spelt using the protruding pillars.
Now, the former logo is the past. The latter logo is the present. But what about the future? The future of the logo is within the entry of 2016 itself. Taking in everything we’ve previously mentioned, we introduce to you, the refined logo of Power Studios.

This logo keeps the message of the previous definitive logo. While making slight tweaks to further reinforce it. Rather than an outdated gradient, we’ve switched to a simple plain colour of (shade of) azure for the new presentation.
We’ve also smoothened out the protruding pillars to show smoothness and open-minded ideas. Along with that, we’ve changed the centre to represent a heart, linking in with the heart of Power Studios — we’ve also changed the position so it’s higher up.
But that’s not all. We also had different text to go along with the logo. The previous text for Power Studios, was the following:

These texts are dangerously outdated and unprofessional, we must admit. They also follow onto using the outdated gradient and the former using a “playful” font.
The new text carries over the guidelines of the new logo, and produced this:

This text follows pursuit with the shade of azure as the main colour. We’ve kept the landscape — shoulder to shoulder design of the former previous one, and used a similar font in the latter previous one.
Conclusion
So that’s a wrap! Power Studios vision and outlook remains identical as it was before. However, it’s being packaged in a refreshed look. But just like all things, it’s not the end of it. Throughout these logos/texts lifetime, it will oversee many evolutions and changes.
This isn’t final — but it’s definitive. And that’s the purpose of refreshing, to redefine the refined concept.
