Powered by Flossie is revolutionary software that aggregates a product companies salon network data into a central API and front-end themed booking platform. This allows product companies to proactively digitise, merchandise & track the full customer data journey on behalf of their salon network. This is made possible without requiring any changes to their existing software providers and without API’s.
We also provide our API to others creating useful & exciting tools (such as augmented reality ‘try on’ hair colour tools) to connect with salon data and ‘close the loop’ (i.e. see it, try it, book it).
Powered by Flossie is a software aggregator for hair/beauty product companies, it is not a market place. We are not trying to be the salon software, but to simply modernise it.
Powered by Flossie offers three distinct things:
1) an API that can pull all of the services data of a fragmented industry together into one single place
2) we provide our own “front end tools” that can make that data work smarter
3) but we can and will provide the API for others offering additional modern tools to advance the industry
Path to Market
Our path to market is via the companies who supply colour service stock to the industry. They have established networks with thousands of salons, understand how to introduce new tools to them and they’re considered the educators for the industry. They set the agenda. They also stand to lose the most as the direct-to-consumer revolution changes the industry and further fragments the revenue.
Forget the ‘add on products like shampoo and conditioner’, that’s a red herring for now — 80% of a product companies revenue comes from the colour services provided whilst you’re in the salon chair. It’s in their interest to get you back into the salon chair, more often. And like the bar industry, they have exclusive contracts and skin in the game for a salon to fill to capacity.
Tapping into the product partners already established and vast networks we are able to get Powered by Flossie industry wide, but without a sales team. The product companies are then able to use our API to drive smarter marketing and self promotion, to digitise and motivate a modern generation of customers who are frustrated by the clunky and lack of modern tools on offer to make a simple booking. On the way through, these companies get to participate in the active remarketing activity and be party to the critically important data.
A Transactional Model
This is deliberately a transactional business, with predictive tools and automation that enable remarketing in ways that have never been done before in this industry. Meaning we can effect and stimulate additional sales for businesses with very easy tools, and be rewarded when we do so.
Our customers are comfortable in Performance Marketing tools (Facebook / Google Adwords) and as such we seek to be paid upon conversion. Paying homage to the BNPL scene (ie. Afterpay), we charge a low commission.
