Shawn Micheals is considered one of the best, if not THE BEST, wrestler of all time. A multi-time champion and participant in some of the most innovative matches in wrestling. Micheals’ career spanned from 1984 until his retirement in 2010. He is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, as an individual in 2009 and a member of D-X in 2019. Today, he is a trainer and producer for WWE’s developmental territory, NXT.

However, if you asked his peers during his early years, some would doubt he would live to see himself inducted into the Hall of Fame, let alone be the mentor to several stars of today. While he was known as a great performer in the ring, often presenting the best performance of the night, he was also known as difficult to get along with behind the scenes. By the time of his first retirement from injury in 1998, Micheals was in a hell of drugs, alcohol, and depression. A religious reawakening would lead to Micheals returning in 2002 and redeeming himself amongst his peers and fans.
