If one were to list the most beloved, yet controversial figures in professional wrestling, Ric Flair would be close to the top. As one of the most decorated champions in wrestling history with a career going back to the 1970s, Flair deserves all the accolades he received. He has influenced countless wrestlers on the art of being a convincing heel and is a pop culture icon even today. He is also a two-time WWE Hall of Famer (as an individual in 2008 and part of the Four Horsemen in 2012) and hosts several podcasts.

As respected as he is in the ring, Flair is no stranger to controversy. From his antics outside the ring to his insistence on living his gimmick, feuds with fellow wrestlers, and recent accusations of sexual misconduct, Flair knows how to keep his name fresh in people’s minds. Several health scares and his well-documented alcoholism have been cause for concern by friends and family members.

One thing has become obvious over the years: Ric Flair has no plans of slowing down. Despite plane crashes, hospital stays, divorce, and cancel culture, he refuses to die. “The Man” may truly be indestructible.
