Here at Action Network, we’re constantly working to improve the toolset and add new features that will help you, our partners, build progressive power. We send out information about new releases to our email list (you can sign up here) and update our Release Notes, but I know it can be a lot to keep track of. That’s why we wanted to highlight 5 new features you may have missed from 2019!

Did you know that you can….

…Test different ladder paths to see which works better?

The Ladder Randomizer is a new step you can add to Ladders that will distribute activists randomly down two paths. You can even edit the weights for each path, so you can send more or less activists down each. This means you can incorporate testing into your welcome series or reactivation campaigns!

…Test different email bodies just like subject and from lines?

Click the ‘add alternative body’ button when writing an email to add another body (or three!). Test results show up in the same test results tab as other tests, with bodies labeled by the title that you entered when creating each body, so you can tell them apart.

Just click ‘Add Alternate Body’ at the bottom of the Create An Email page!

…Turn on a recurring upsell option on fundraisers?

When turned on, recurring upsell means that contributors will be asked to make their one-time contributions into monthly contributions on the fundraiser thank you page. What’s better than a one-time contribution to your cause? Twelve contributions (in a year)! Thank you to Common Cause for developing this feature with us!

…Add a default Facebook share image or Twitter handle to your sharing options?

When you add a default Facebook share image in group settings, your image will be used in place of our toolset-wide default if an action does not have its own Facebook share image or banner image. Likewise, you can also now add a default Twitter handle, which will be used in place of our toolset-wide default in the default Tweet text for an action.

Access in Settings on your Group Manage page!

…Cyhoeddi gweithredoedd yn Gymraeg? (…Publish actions in Welsh?)

Create actions in multiple languages! And Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Moldovan, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish! (Want to add another language? Contact us!) Choose the language you want to use from the language dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the screen when editing or creating an action.

Don’t miss out on new features in the future! Sign up for updates here and keep an eye on Release Notes.
