Your marketing plan should start months before your ICO launches to ensure that everything is perfect when you announce your ICO and try to get interest from investors.

Most of the times, the first impression of your project from potential investors come from the website, that’s why the most decisive factor to capture the interest of potential investors is (arguably) the website!

Let’s take a look at some items your website should include:

  1. The HomePage — The HomePage most of the time is also going to be your landing page, so it’s crucial to have a professional looking and clean homepage. This page should have the basic info about the project and links to social media and community chatrooms. A countdown timer to the start of the crowdfunding and an email subscription is optional but valuable in most cases. This page should be clean but have enough information to hook the potential investors into researching more about the project.
  2. Languages —Your potential investors will come from all around the world and speak different languages with some not even reading English fluently. Several studies indicate that most consumers are more likely to make a purchase online (or invest in this case) if information is available in their own language. This is why your website should be translated into a different languages. The translations should be of high quality and not translated with Google Translate in order to avoid incoherent text and a less professional looking website.
  3. The Team — The Team section is another crucial section of your website. The project’s team members and advisers should be clearly presented with a name, photo, role and social media. The social media is often overlooked but this is an important step to give credibility to the project, ideally, it should include each member’s Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Medium (if applicable) with Linkedin being by far the most important.
  4. The Technicals — While the homepage should already include a very simplified view of the technicals of the token, a dedicated section for the finer details of the token is a must. This should include things such as: The token’s price and available bonuses; The token’s ticker symbol; The distribution of the tokens; The dates for the start and end of the various ICO phases; Hard and soft cap for the ICO; Available bounty campaigns; Other relevant metrics
  5. Social Media — Obviously, this is one of the most important aspects of your ICO. Therefore, it should be clearly presented in your project’s website. Preferably at the bottom as well as in the top of the website, this should include a Telegram room, Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin at least, with discord, slack and reddit being optional but beneficial.
  6. Details of The Project — The website should also include a section to cover more details of the project. The most common details/pieces of information are the roadmap, what innovations the project is bringing in along with goals. It is important that all information is clear and shown in an engaging way, this can normally be achieved with infographics and/or videos.
