PowerPool is on the verge of launching the PowerAgent testnet, a significant milestone for future deployment on the Ethereum mainnet.

The most important news is that PowerPool launches a testnet on Sepolia on the 22nd of May with exclusive CVP rewards for the DappNode community. Join the AMA in DappNode Discord 19th of May at 1 pm UTC for detailed information.

This article will summarize recent PowerPool events and partnerships aimed at successful testnet launch and future mainnet adoption.

Partnership with dAppNode: a one-click PowerAgent node launch

To make the experience of running a PowerAgent keeper node as simple as possible, we secured a partnership with DappNode, a state-of-the-art decentralized and open-source node software provider.

The DappNode bundle allows almost anyone to become a blockchain validator/node runner and launch a PowerAgent keeper node very simply. By adding PowerAgent to their stack, Ethereum node runners will earn additional income in ETH for providing automation services to DeFi protocols.

Partnership with deBridge

PowerPool aims to deploy PowerAgent across all major EVM-compatible networks and become an infrastructure layer for automation there. We partnered with deBridge, a secure and decentralized cross-chain infrastructure provider for high-performance interoperability.

This partnership will enable the seamless transfer of CVP tokens between different networks, ensuring the secure multi-chain expansion of PowerPool.

Incentivized testnet and builder grants governance proposals

Two new governance proposals related to PowerAgent’s launch were published on the PowerPool governance forum:

  1. Proposal 57 — PowerAgent incentivized testnet and bug bounty program. This proposal aims to boost PowerAgent’s testnet participation by providing grants to testers in CVP. Also, it proposes to issue bug bounty rewards in USDT to testers who find significant exploits and vulnerabilities in the PowerAgent architecture and report them to the PowerPool team.
  2. Proposal 58 — launch the PowerPool Ecosystem Growth fund and a grants program. Here, we suggest distributing Task Grants in CVP to developers with established/promising DeFi protocols that will benefit from integrating decentralized automation.

Taken together, these proposals aim to ensure the proper operation of PowerAgent and bootstrap the network by increasing the initial number of keeper nodes and providing solid support for PowerAgent’s adoption across multiple chains in the years to come.

What’s next?

The first phase of the PowerAgent testnet will start on the 22nd of May on the Sepolia network.

In total, it’s planned to have around 100 testnet participants. However, PowerPool will admit testers to the network in batches. The first batch will have ~10–15 users (PowerPool team members wouldn’t count).

Anyone can apply to participate in the testnet. All you need to do is register an account in the PowerPool governance forum and fill in a testnet candidate Google form.

Instructions for keeper node runners are presented in the PowerPool docs.

On the 19th of May at 1 PM UTC, we will host a Discord AMA, where you can learn everything about node running and be presented with a detailed walkthrough on how to set up a keeper node.
