PowerSage wins sustainability award
PowerSage was named the winner of the Top Sustainability/Green Technology Idea award in the 2015 University of Dayton Business Plan Competition.
The UDBPC was created to help students learn the art of elevator pitching, and business plan development. Every year teams enter the primary elevator pitch round. There, they have the chance to pass into the cameo, and then finalist rounds. At the finalist round, six teams have 20 minutes to present their business plan to a team of judges. The first pace prize is $25,000, which ideally would be used to fund the winning idea.
PowerSage entered the competition, our team consisting of CEO Tom Roberts, and his daughter Kaitlyn, a sophomore at UD. Kaitlyn, who pitched the idea, placed third out of more than 50 entrants in the elevator pitch competition.
“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment, and are grateful for the recognition of our company by the University of Dayton,” said Tom. “Sustainability and green technologies are growing markets and our company is excited to be working in an industry focused on improving our environment.”
Thank you University of Dayton! We’ll see you again next year!
