We did it.

The PowerSage team traveled to Dayton on Saturday, November 19th for the second round of the University of Dayton’s business plan competition. Our business was selected among five others to continue on to the third and final round. This is a very encouraging moment! We are already prepping for the next challenge.

“We’re excited about this opportunity,” said CEO and founder Tom Roberts. “We want to help property managers leverage performance improvements, and save money. At the same time, we realize residents need tools to help save on their utility bills and be green, too. Advancing in this competition puts us one step closer to our goal of helping the multifamily market.”

Team members Mark Himmell and Carissa Roberts represented PowerSage. Each of 10 entrants conducted five minute, five slide presentations describing their business plans to panelists.

Now, we will compete for a chance at a first place prize of $25,000. In addition to the cash prize, each of the five finalists receives free legal advice and other support from the university.

We are thankful to the University of Dayton for our selection. And, to our team for a job well done. We’ll be back!
