We made it to the finals. And now this leg of the journey is over.

The Flyer Pitch competition began in the fall of 2016 with 66 applicants. That number was narrowed down over two rounds to the 6 finalists. Each team had 20 minutes to present their business idea to a panel of judges and their peers. The six finalists were Neet Seat, Hit Grip, S.T.A.R., Parking Space Finder, PowerSage, and Ortus.

First place went to UD alumni Zach McHale, who presented Neet Seat. McHale won $25,000 for his patented seat pouch for stadium seating to hold the items brought by attendees.

PowerSage won $5,000 for future business acquisition, and the much more important reward of publicity and networking opportunities. The team members that represented the business were Tom Roberts (Founder), Mark Himmel (Business Development), Kaitlyn Roberts (Finance), Carissa Roberts (Marketing), and Alexis Burgett (Content).

We are proud of our team’s effort, and excited for the future. The Flyer Pitch Competition may be over, but our journey is just getting started.

Thank you University of Dayton for this awesome opportunity!
