Powershare Alpha Platform Launch
We are excited to announce that as a result of extensive research and development that started in the beginning of 2018, we are able to deliver an alpha version of our donation-based crowdfunding platform with diverse campaign categories and donation options for its users (For those of you wondering, donation-based or charity crowdfunding is a way of collecting necessary funds for certain cause by raising small amounts of money from many contributors).
The Alpha version of the platform is available at www.powershare.fund and is still being refined. Platform is functional on both ends — for the campaigners and the backers. Your support is paramount at this stage of development, so please do not hesitate to give us any feedback about any kind of difficulties you come across, so that we know what should be our main priority when improving and upgrading the current platform to a more user ready one.

Anyone who is planning on raising funds for their small personal goals or on somebody else’s behalf is more than welcome to join our community! Powershare aims at building a healthy social crowdfunding platform where generosity and participation are the most valued assets of a new-comer. To show our gratitude to early adopters, we will be manually going through all campaigns waiting for approval, giving them feedback and suggestions for improvement, and helping them get noticed by promoting their cause through our channels. The launch of the alpha platform reaffirms Powershare as the first company to integrate a cashless donation option into a charity crowdfunding platform. Through integrating CoinHive API for mining Monero cryptocurrency, backers are now able to support causes they think are important by just one click of a button, without paying a penny from their pockets. Although, we are still in a testing phase, and the amount of cash generated through this feature is negligible as mining Monero is unprofitable considering current market conditions and difficulty levels within the Monero network. Despite negligible profitability testing this feature and receiving feedback of the community are of paramount importance for upgrading the technology.
After thorough testing, the next big milestone of Powershare development will be the launch of beta platform which will offer donations of public resource computing to scientific research institutions, who, on their side, will use the donated CPU for calculations that require huge amounts of processing power. By enabling anyone with access to the internet to support scientific research and ordinary people simultaneously, we bring the most generous closer to science.
