Broken Dreams

I once dreamed of a life filled with love and laughter,
Where my heart would beat in a happy rhythm after,
But those dreams have crumbled and fallen apart,
Leaving me alone with a shattered heart.

The pieces of my broken dreams, scatter the ground,
Leaving me without a voice, without a sound,
But I’ll gather those pieces, one by one,
And build a new dream that shines brighter than the sun.

I’ll find the courage to start again,
To open my heart and let the love in,
And I’ll keep searching until I find,
The happiness and love that I had in mind.
