It’s estimated that more than 35 million children in the U.S. experience significant trauma each year. This is physical, mental, emotional, environmental, and even sexual trauma. Which leaves them to grow into silenced and scarred adults, lashing out at the world and bringing more human beings into suffering through abuse and dysfunctional relationships.

How do we make sense of a world in which millions-and-millions of children are traumatized each year in the U.S. alone? How do we reconcile that reality and find a path to healing? The hard truth is that it can’t be done without accepting some realities that are bound to make us squirm.

Before we can improve life for ourselves, for our children, we have to see and understand the truth behind the world’s willingness to victimize and destroy innocent lives over and over again.

The truths childhood trauma survivors will struggle to accept.
