Trauma, trauma, trauma. It’s one of the internet’s biggest buzzwords, and the topic that no self-help guru can stop talking about. And (yeah) there’s a reason for that. We are a world awash in trauma. From traumas inflicted daily by the barrage of life and the 24 hour news cycle, to the traumas rooted in our earliest years — each of has trauma that is living and breathing right in the heart of our bodies.

Sure, you may know the difference between physical trauma and emotional trauma. But I’m willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that you don’t know that your mental scars are locked right in the physical fabric of your body. Or that you’re never really going to be “pain-free” or done working through the pain that was heaped on you by others. That’s because trauma, at the end of the day, is a wound that never quite heals. But you learn to live with it, and you learn to manage it in a way that empowers you to lead a better life.

What you still haven’t realized…
