How much emotional integrity does your relationship have? It’s probably not a question you’ve ever asked yourself before, but you should have. Emotional integrity is at the core of every happy couple, and it’s key to a long-lasting relationship. This type of integrity is more than truth, though. It’s safety, too. When our relationships bloom with this kind of emotional safety and honesty, we can grow with one another in truly powerful ways.
Signs your relationship is lacking emotional integrity.
Finding our emotional integrity as a couple takes a lot of radical honesty. You must be able to look at yourself (and at your partner) to see the hard truths lying right atop the surface. How are you treating one another? How do you feel? Are you making safe spaces to feel the way you truly feel? Or do you hide the truth to avoid conflict? Facing the truth is how we open the door on emotional integrity.
