One practice that should definitely be explored when it comes to cultivating a writing habit is that of writing in the morning. Starting your day by journaling can improve your entire outlook and experience. Let me show you what I mean.

Start the Day on a Positive Note

How you spend your morning often sets the tone for the rest of your day. So why not be intentional with your morning practice? Set out each day to write in the morning as a way to set the mood. This is an ideal time to write in your gratitude journal. You will then carry that grateful spirit throughout the rest of your daily encounters. You may also want to write down some visualizations or other positive thoughts. Anything that puts you in a good frame of mind is just fine.
