We went to Disneyland, the first time for our youngest, he loved it! Today, we want to share one of the most powerful realizations James had with work.

It’s a personal desire to contribute and also bred into us to be productive members of society. Unconsciously, this dedication to our job or career can undermine our faith. This came up for James was faced with challenges at work and was forced to redefine what success was for himself. He realized that his job was not only what provided his substance but also where he got his sense of worth and purpose. His self esteem rose as his position and salary did.

Forced to examine whether he was placing his hopes and dreams in a job or in Allah- James found a sobering truth. Although he know that Allah should be where we place our faith and trust he could to see clearly how we’d placed it his job.
